Walking and Biking Tips

Walking, biking and wheeling are clean, healthy and affordable forms of transportation, recreation and exercise.  Safety, physical fitness, air quality, and more transportation choices are several important reasons why San Antonio and Bexar County are celebrating walking, wheeling and bicycling in 2008 for our 12th year of the Walk & Roll program.

The "Walk & Roll" Program encourages the use of healthy transportation such as bicycling, walking, car/vanpooling and busing.  Show your support of safe and healthy cycling in the San Antonio region.  Support the Bicycle Mobility Advisory Committee of the MPO by participating in our Bike Month events in May.  For more information email or call Lydia Kelly at kelly@sametroplan.org, or 210-230-6911.

Other healthy activities are included on our website for your information.  To submit your organization's event for inclusion on our website, please click here.
